10:30 pm Forest Fire Update – 1,500 Acres Estimated Damage

At least 7 area fire depts. along with 2 planes and and estimated 9 fire plows from the Arkansas Forestry Commission are still battling the Lacey area wildfire.
At 9:15, the uncontrolled blaze crossed Eubanks Road, and continued south-southwest.
Traffic on HWY 172 is currently limited to emergency personnel and residents of the area.
An experienced forestry professional estimated that the blaze has already surpassed 1,500 acres of destoyed woodlands.
