1 Year Memorial Service for Deputy Tim Braden, Friday at 6 PM
August 24th, 2018 by iPhoneOn August 24, 2017, the Drew County Sheriff’s Office and the Drew County community suffered the loss of Deputy Tim Braden. Deputy Braden lost his life in the line of duty in a vehicle accident.
On Friday, August 24, 2018, the one-year anniversary of Deputy Braden’s ultimate sacrifice, there will be a memorial ceremony at 6 p.m. on the steps of the Drew County Courthouse, according To Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober.
All citizens and first responders are invited and encouraged to attend.
“We hope that all citizens will attend to remember Deputy Braden and show support for all First Responders,” Sheriff Gober said.
Also, Sheriff Gober and his department wish to have a Law Enforcement Memorial placed on the Drew County Courthouse lawn in the near future. The cost of the memorial will be funded through donations.
Citizens and organizations may donate at the Drew County Sheriff’s Office or at Union Bank or Commercial Bank where “The Deputy Tim Braden Memorial Fund” accounts have been set up.
